Allow me begin of by sharing with you that people buy into you, not your business opportunity. It surprises me how many people on my Facebook page are pitching their primary business as soon as they have been accepted as a friend.
I'm sure this doesn't ensue on you on your Facebook site. This only happens to me right? I didn't imagine so. It would be polite to build a rapport with the person and learn if we have anything in common before being bombarded with their primary business that I have no idea about nor do I want to know about. It seems it has been crammed in my face every time I receive an update from them. I do not want you to tumble into this trap of using salesman updates on your Facebook page. This is why I called this article, "Death of a Salesman on Facebook".
There is nothing wrong about conversating to people about your primary business on Facebook after you have developed a bond with them. When just updating your status, say something appealing or fascinating. Share an inspirational quote that you found or invent your own. Give others significance that will and can help them. Most people on Facebook are already associated with a primary and are not interested in nothing more than improving their position within their own primary. To understand this reality is an eye-opener for some reading this. Think about it from your own perspective. The most essential thing you can do in your business to generate an income is to move your product or recruit new representatives, so the initial thing on your mind is to get on the internet on the social sites where there are people and tell them about your business primary, because there are hundreds of thousands of people searching for a home business.
It seems like the decent thing to do. How many people have you signed up from Facebook in your primary business using this tactic, one, three, or none? The fact of the matter is this strategy simply does not work. Think of it this way, go to Wal-Mart and walk up to everyone in the store, say hi, and then ask them if they want to join your primary. This sounds outlandish right? Then why doesn't it look crazy when we see it on Facebook? It's the same scenario. You don't know everyone that asks you, or that you ask to be your friend, so why ask everyone about your primary business opportunity?
Learn to have a dialogue with people. Ask questions of interest. Ask people about their families. Talk to people about their goals, dreams and desires. Speak blessings over the lives of those that you have on your Facebook page. Support people. Find out how their day went and be genuinely concerned. Build a bond before you ever bring up your business opportunity. Trust me when I tell you there are millions of people on Facebook. Take the time to build a relationship and allow people to get to know you before they ever hear anything about your business. It's the most significant step you can take to building an online business.
Let's say that you have built a bond with a new friend and while building a relationship you come to find that your new friend is already with a different primary, loves the company and product, but is not having the achievement that they would like. Would you pitch them your primary at that point or say that they probably need different leadership to help them be successful within the industry? Let me ask you, would you want someone to say that to you? Of course you wouldn't. This is where most of us drop the ball after building aconnection. We see that a person is lacking in the growth of their business, and instead of helping them get better results within their primary, we try to recruit them into ours. This is a bad habit as well. When you find out your friend is on the ground, please do not kick them. It is the job of a friend to help them out.
